Volo Has Come A Long Way!

1980's!

Expansion Begins

The Volo Auto Museum began to grow in the early 80’s. Another showroom was added to showcase a large collection of horse-drawn vehicles and carriages, including some that had belonged to the Vanderbilts, Buffalo Bill and even Napoleon! The carriages were not as popular as the cars, however, and the collection was eventually sold.

At that point, the museum found its direction and began to display only antique and collectible autos and trucks. Both showrooms were filled with car masterpieces and people from all over flocked to view them. Many visitors found themselves reminiscing about their younger days and what they used to drive. Many also marveled over the cars they had always dreamed of owning.
